The <strong>submission deadlines for papers <\/strong>to be published in the <strong>Proceedings of TC45 <\/strong>are the following:  <ul><li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-contrast-color\">For <\/mark><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-contrast-color\">papers <\/mark><\/strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-contrast-color\">related to<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"> <\/mark><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">academic submissions &#8211; <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-2-color\">extended <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">initially by 1 month to 13 December, then by another 1.5 months to 31 January 2024 and is <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-2-color\">now extended by another month to 29 February 2024 <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">(from&#8221;the\u00a0week of 6 November 2023, i.e., by 13 November 2023)&#8221;;<\/mark><\/strong> <\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li>Papers for <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">Posters<\/mark><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">, regardless whether submitted by 10 September or by the extended deadline of 31 October, are now also<\/span> <mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-2-color\"><strong>extended to 29 February 2024<\/strong> <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"> ;<\/span><\/mark><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">For post facto papers reporting on the results of <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><strong>Workshops<\/strong> <\/mark><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">and <\/span><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><strong>Panels<\/strong><\/mark><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"> &#8211; &#8220;<\/span><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); font-family: inherit; color: var(--contrast);\">&#8221; <\/span><\/mark><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">has also been <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-2-color\">extended<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">, like all other submission deadlines <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-14)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-2-color\">to 29 February 2024<\/mark>; <\/span><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><li>As <strong>non-academic \/ user papers<\/strong> , similarly to papers reporting on Workshops and Panels, also will not undergo peer review, authors or these <em>optional<\/em> papers were originally given until <span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">&#8220;<\/span><strong>the\u00a0week of 4 December 2023<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 600; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">&#8220;; this has now also been extended like all other submissions to 29 February 2024<\/span>.<\/li><\/mark><\/ul><br><ul><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">As was the case for 2021 and 2022, AsLing will provide a separate site for authors to upload <strong>final manuscripts of <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">academic papers<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"> or <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\">final versions of poster papers <em>following peer review<\/em>. This will be<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"> announced to authors when they receive the feedback of their peer reviews.<\/span><\/mark><span style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--global-color-12); color: var(--contrast);\"><br><br>Submissions can be edited or corrected up until the deadline.<\/span><\/ul><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-global-color-11-background-color has-background\"><tbody><tr><td>Authors should please check out the templates and other instructions they will be expected to adhere to when preparing and submitted their final papers and posters. To assist authors, we provide links to these, below.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Templates and Submission Instructions for E-Proceedings 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Manuscripts of all final <strong>papers<\/strong> and <strong>posters<\/strong> must be submitted using one of the template formats provided here. For papers the word limit is 5,000 words, while for poster papers the limit is 2,000 words; word limits EXCLUDE references and the abstract which should be between 150 and 200 words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formal papers describing <strong>workshops<\/strong> should adhere to the rules applicable for final papers connected to talks. <strong>Non-academic papers<\/strong> expanding on user session talks should follow the same general format as other final papers, starting with an abstract, followed by the body of the paper and ending with (in these cases, optional) references and bibliography. The body of non-academic papers may be structured freely. A summing up or conclusions section as the final part of the body is desirable in these papers, but not mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TC45 provides this description as Microsoft Word templates (both .docx and .doc versions). <em>Users of OpenOffice and\/or LibreOffice should be able to open MS-Word templates in their software. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Microsoft Word templates and formatting instructions<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><\/span><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45-formats.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>tc45(Word).zip<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 contains all of the following 5 files<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45.docx\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>docx<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 in MS-Word 2007 and newer format. This document contains the formatting instructions for preparing a camera-ready version of papers accepted for publication at the TC45 conference. The document itself conforms to its own specifications, and is therefore an example of what your manuscript should look like. Authors are asked to conform to all the directions reported in this document.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45.dotx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>dotx<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 template for use in MS-Word 2007 and newer versions to format your manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>doc<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 in MS-Word 97-2003 format. Otherwise the same as tc45.docx.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45.dot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dot<\/a> <\/strong>\u2013 template for use in MS-Word 97-2003 to format your manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asling.org\/tc45\/tc45-formats\/tc45(Word).pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>tc45(Word).pdf<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 output in Portable Document format, of tc45.docx. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Final paper and poster manuscripts should be submitted via the START conference submission system. Should you wish to, nevertheless, please refer to your original submission mails, or the mail in which we confirmed acceptance of your proposal. You may also contact us at <a href=\"mailto:submissions@asling.org\">submissions@asling.org<\/a>, allowing 1-2 days to retrieve your passcode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select your submission, then chose the menu option which appears:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Final submission: <\/strong>Submit your Final submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please make sure you have used the above links to read the instructions and use the correct format templates or style sheets for your final manuscripts, before you upload the final versions of your paper or poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED for the Final Submission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"has-global-color-12-background-color has-background wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have the <strong><em>option to edit<\/em><\/strong> the <strong>Title<\/strong> and <strong>Short Abstract<\/strong> that you entered for your original submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Please note that changes to the <strong>list of co-authors<\/strong> or, if necessary, to your <strong>extended abstract<\/strong>, can only be made by sending these to us at <a href=\"mailto:submissions@asling.org\">submissions@asling.org<\/a> and are subject to AsLing approval. Make sure you include <strong>tc45<\/strong>, the <strong>Submission number<\/strong>, and at least the <strong>surname<\/strong> of the <strong>corresponding author<\/strong> in the Subject text of your mail. If you wish us to use the photo(s) you uploaded for the initial submission, please indicate.
