Authors of successful submissions have been or are being informed that their submissions have been accepted for either a full length<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0short presentation<\/b>.<\/p>

Many but not all submissions accepted for \u201cShort presentations\u201d were submitted as \u201cPosters<\/b>\u201c.<\/p>

There will be no physical posters at TC46 (as there have not been for the past ten TC conferences). Accepted poster paper authors are asked, instead to make short presentations of their research, usually in conference rooms smaller than the plenary.<\/p>

At TC46 all short (and full length) presentations will take place in relatively large conference rooms (seating more than 100 persons each). All regular submissions and Posters are obliged to submit a paper for publication in the Proceedings of TC46; for submissions entered via the User Track papers are optional.<\/p>

Moderators of Workshops and Panels may also submit an optional paper, after the conference, outlining the results of their event.<\/p>

The lengths of Poster or Short-Talk papers is 2000 words; for all other papers it is 5000 words. For details on papers for publication in the Proceedings see Submission Guidelines for Papers and Poster Papers<\/b><\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Plenary Room 2 <\/strong>is circular. It seats 146 persons, and will be used as the conference plenary for the opening, keynote and closing sessions, as well as for most or all full length presentations. It has 3 large screens round the room, between interpreters\u2019 booths as well as individual screen in the first two rows of seats around the room. It is located at the ECCL on Level 0 (zero).<\/p>

Room A<\/strong> is a room with a hollow square layout. It seats 36 persons. It is located on Level 0 (zero) and diagonally across from Plenary Room 2 and Room B.<\/p>

Room B<\/strong> is in a hollow square format. It seats 101 persons. It has 3 screens, 2 on one of the longer walls and a 3rd behind the speaker (on one of the narrow sides of the room. It is located on Level 0 (zero), adjacent to Plenary Room 2.<\/p>

Room D<\/strong> is in a hollow square format. It seats 104 persons. It has 2 large screens, located on 2 of the 4 sides of the room. It is located at the ECCL on Level 1 and close to Room E.<\/p>

Room E<\/strong> is in a hollow square format. It seats 122 persons. It has 2 screens, located on 2 of the 4 sides of the room. It is located at the ECCL on Level 1 and close to Room D.<\/p>

Presentation Guidelines<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The standard resolution is: 1920 x 1080, with screen layout of 16:9 (Wide-screen).<\/p>

Due to the room layouts and the screen sizes presenters are asked to make sure that all text<\/strong><\/span> in their presentations is<\/strong> 24 pts font size or larger<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and contrast sharply from the background<\/strong>. Pastel colours should be avoided. Smaller texts will be very hard to read for most of the audience and lead to less than satisfactory viewing experiences for participants.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

All presenters are asked to please send AsLing an advance copy of their presentation slides to allow us to review the slides (technically, especially with regard to font sizes and colour contrast) and provide presenters with feedback).<\/p>

You may revise content right up to the conference, but please give or send the AsLing Organising Committee members a copy of your final slides at least 1 session prior to your presentation, to allow the slides to be loaded to the correct presentation PC.<\/p>

Presenters should limit their talk to about 20 minutes, but to not more than 25 minutes. A 5-10 minute Question and Answer (Q&A) period for interaction with conference participants will follow. Speakers will be informed of \u201c5 minutes left\u201d at 15 minutes, of \u201c3 minutes left\u201d at 17 minutes, and \u201c1 minute left\u201d at 19 minutes. If they choose, they may continue for another 2-3 minutes, for a total of 22-23 minutes. Thereafter Q&A must begin, to allow minimum interactivity with the audience.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Presenters should limit their talk to 5-8 minutes<\/strong>. The remaining 7-10 minutes should be for a Question and Answer (Q&A) period, in which the presenter(s) answer questions from conference participants. Speakers will be informed of \u201cabout 2 minutes left\u201d at 4 minutes, and \u201c1 minute left\u201d at 7 minutes. Thereafter Q&A must begin, to allow minimum interactivity with the audience.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Keynote addresses are allocated 60 minutes. Speakers are asked to hold their talk to about 50 minutes to allow 10 minutes for Q&A.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Non-commercial workshops have a 60 minute time slot at TC46. Workshop moderators are encouraged to make their workshops as interactive as possible. Members of the audience should be permitted to ask questions and make short points throughout workshops. Depending in part on the nature of each workshop moderators are encouraged to allow at least the final 5-10 minutes for general questions from the audience participants in their workshops.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Discussion Panels have a 90 minute time slot. By definition these panels have both a moderator and panellists interacting with each other. Nevertheless moderators are encouraged to ask for interaction (short questions or remarks) from the audience, and may allow for a 5-10 minute Q&A session between audience and panellists prior to the final wrap-up by the panel members.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
