The Translation Centre is the shared language service provider for EU agencies and bodies. Its main mission consists in facilitating and supporting effective multilingual communication.
At the Translation Centre, we acknowledge the potential of AI-driven technology to enhance multilingualism and have put in place our Multi-Engine Machine Translation (MEMT) strategy. We see that AI-based language application provide a great potential for us and our partners. By incorporating this technology into our business operations as far as possible, we are able to provide our partners with enhanced and modern services. Our experience shows that AI-based language applications allow for the optimization of our operations as well as improve efficiency by reducing translation turnaround times and costs. However, we believe that accuracy, clarity and professionalism in specialised communications can only be achieved with expert human intervention and advocate the responsible use of AI in linguistic services. In translation projects, the \u2018human in the loop\u2019 approach is underlying a wider number of processes in which the cross-collaboration of multiple disciplines, and hence multiple professional skills, is required.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
