The founders of Aslib (ca 1923). Aslib started this conference series in 1978, and ran it until 2013, after which is was turned over to AsLing.
Many of the papers presented at TC conferences from TC1 (1978) through TC38 (2016) could be found in the MT-Archives set up and maintained by John Hutchins, by permission of Aslib through 2013 and AsLing for 2014-2016, at: http://www.mt-archive.info/srch/conferences-1.htm
Unfortunately, since John Hutchins died in January 2021 these were not accessible for a couple of years. The European Association of Machine Translation (EAMT) has now taken over the archives from John Hutchins and is has made these available once again. Check The John W. Hutchins Machine Translation Archive – home page (mt-archive.net) . While it appears that only Tables of Contents appear listed, upon opening (most) TC conference Tables of Contents full texts of many of the presentations are also accessible. The site covers TC1-TC38, i.e. overlaps for TC36-TC38 with AsLing’s own archives.
Full proceedings of TC conferences organised by Asling (TC36 (2014) through TC41 (2019) are available via the menu items for these conferences, above, or at the co-publisher’s sites:
