JUREMY WORKSHOP
Terminological accuracy and translation quality by efficient EU Corpus research: using Juremy in the Post-Editing process
Workshop Moderator
Timea Palotai-Torzsás
Co-moderator:
Robin Palotai
To ensure accuracy and consistency in EU terminology use, and to verify the output of AI-based translation tools, the research of the EU corpus is an essential but often laborious task.
In this presentation we will demonstrate on live examples how Juremy can boost the efficiency
of this research and encourage more in-depth quality checks.
Juremy.com provides fast and customizable bilingual concordance search in the published EU corpus and the IATE term base. It also makes it possible to quickly find links to EU legislation,
Commission preparatory documents or judgments of the Court of Justice based on a phrase or multi-word expression, in any of the 24 official EU languages.
The tool facilitates the efficient retrieval of foreign language equivalents of source language sentences or phrases, by immediately displaying segments of EU documents containing the exact or approximate search query. In addition to supporting the manual translation and referencing of EU-related projects, Juremy also serves as a verification tool for assessing the reliability of Machine Translation output in the post-editing process.
